Feel the Moment: A Lake Como Wedding We’ll Never Forget

There are places that don’t need much help looking beautiful, and Lake Como is one of them. The light settles on the water in the late afternoon. Pastel villas lean toward the shoreline. The mountains stand quietly in the background, like they’ve been waiting for this moment too. When one of our couples first told us they wanted a Lake Como wedding, we understood immediately.
This is a look back at that week — what we planned, what we felt, and what we’d want you to know if a Lake Como has found its way onto your own vision board!
A Setting That Did Most of the Talking
We planned a portion of their elopement photos at a historic villa, Villa Monastero. We decided to keep things simple. No florals, no elaborate vendor team, just the couple and our stunning photographer, Brie Sciales Photography. Every choice was made in service of the story already being told by the place itself.
That’s really the heart of how we work. We’re not interested in crazy trends or mass excess. We’re interested in what a couple actually wants to feel on their wedding day, and then quietly making sure everything supports that feeling.
Planning From Afar, Without Losing the Personal Touch
Couples often come to us worried that planning a wedding abroad will feel harder, more distant, less theirs. In our experience, it’s often the opposite. When you have a steady team on the ground who knows the destination well, an international wedding can feel more held, not less.
For this elopement, that meant endless scouring for the perfect places and countless emails to incredible vendors within the area. It meant coordinating travel and lodging, and building breathing room into the schedule so that nothing felt rushed. It meant handling every conversation with the local vendor team ourselves, so our couple never had to carry that weight.
They weren’t managing their elopement. They were simply present for it.
The Details That Made It Feel Like Theirs
Some of the moments we loved most were the ones woven into the region itself.
We coordinated a private boat charter, so that they could cross the lake in true Lake Como fashion. Then we planned an intimate dinner on a private tower, filled with hand-crafted dishes and local wine, hosted by the lovely, Arianna Capra.
None of it was about spectacle. It was about connection.
